Dirk van Sliedregt Easy Chair in Rattan and Metal, The Netherlands, 1960s. This rattan and metal lounge chair was designed in the 1960s by Dirk Van Sliedregt, for Dutch manufacterer Gebroeders Jonkers. It is a rare model, as it was only made in a small series. The elegant shell clearly was made with great eye for detail and proportion. with the armrests opening slightly, and the oval opening in the back, this chair has an inviting and friendly appearance. Besides being visually attractive, this model provides great comfort as well. The well-made wicker shell was placed on a subtle tubular frame in anthracite lacquer, which gives the chair a floating and light appearance. This timeless chair is in good vintage condition, only showing minor signs of use.
