Beautifully weathered traditional tansu with drawers from the Meiji period.
This cabinet features seven drawers, each adorned with authentic metal fittings, including handles and lockplates (without key).
Metal carrying handles are attached to the sides, once used for easy transport. Dimensions: height 103 cm, width 83 cm, depth 40 cm.
This Japanese tansu is an original interior piece in its untouched state, exuding a sense of history.
The chest of drawers shows signs of age and no longer has a locking bar for the drawers.
