Vintage Design
Two-part sideboard cabinet, recessed and surmounted, with solid walnut upper part and chestnut lower part. The lower part rests on “miche” or “galette” feet on the front. The cabinet opens on two doors to a panel with moulded top and flange, set in a strong frame with a slight doucine, mitered. A long drawer with the same molding separates the two bodies. A décor of “pennes” (feathers) is inscribed in the top and bottom jambs and on the top crosspiece, ending in half rosacess, a scroll molding on the upper body, alternates with small consoles carved with acanthus foliage. Partly 17th / Louis XIII period.
