Vintage Design
Robust and comfortable lounge chair by the Danish designer H.W. Klein. The slightly curved shape of the backrest has a highly inviting appearance. The chair has tapered legs and wooden details on the armrests. The fronts of the right armrests hides a tray, which is a very well crafted detail. The chair has a pleasant lower back support, and combined with great proportions it provides great comfort.
Designer Henry Walter (H.W.) Klein was born in Norway in 1919 but moved to Denmark in 1960 so he could work full time for Bramin. He had studied interior design at the Tekniske Skile in Frederikberg in Denmark as well. He was trained by important Danish architect and designer Finn Juhl. He worked for Bramin until the company closed in 1980, after which he moved to the United States.
