Circular coffee table from the early 19th century Empire period with drawer and inlaid top, with a central turned support in ebonized wood, a fluted column in the central part which connects to the circular top with the walnut veneered band in which a drawer opens: at the end a raised edge delimits the walnut veneered top, profiled by a circular boxwood fillet and decorated with a central inlay with flowers and leaves.
In good condition, this Empire-era coffee table with a circular column structure, for a living room or guéridon, is Italian and comes from a residence in Ferrara. The Guéridon is a small circular coffee table, usually used as a side table, used to support decorative objects, vases or lamps.
