Very rare steel shelf from the “Pentagon” design group
The shelf comes from Wolfgang Laubersheimer, a member of the Pentagon group, in 1984. The group is one of the pioneers of postmodern design; their designs took part in the 1987 International Art Exhibition of the 8th Documenta in Kassel.
The shelf “Verspanntes Regal” is probably one of Wolfgang Laubersheimer’s most famous designs and is made of raw steel with a waxed surface. The patina that develops with age is an intentional design effect.
