Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this super fine circa 1780-1800 George III Fully restored Burr Elm small chest of drawers . What a piece! This is pure Georgian excellence at its best, made in the rarer Burr Elm, this chest has burrs on its burrs! You will never find a better example, it is exquisite from top to bottom Size wise, this is larger than a side table but narrower than a full size chest, please look at the dimensions below In terms of the condition, my restorer has lightly washed it back then traditionally French polished it the idea being to remove the years of dirt to bring out the colour and timber grain, whilst keeping all the original patina. The only other work I can see is at some point in its history, the underside timber has been restored as its quite fresh Dimensions Height:- 76.5cm Width:- 65.5cm Depth:- 46cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask. .. Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
